Mrs. Helen Eno Obareki, Coordinator of GIFA, marked the International Day of the Girl Child 2024 with a visit to Itak People’s High School in Ikono Local Government Area. During the event, she presented gifts to the female students and delivered a keynote centered on the theme, “Girls’ Vision for the Future.” In her speech, she emphasized the strength and potential of girls, urging parents and community leaders to invest in their growth through formal and skills-based education. “When we educate and support girls, we nurture them into women of character, poise, and confidence,” she remarked. After that, Mrs. Eno joined the ARISE initiative for the elderly, held at the Government House banquet hall in Uyo.
