The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Patience Umo Eno Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), Lady Helen Eno Obareki, has praised the Personal Assistant to the Governor on General Duties, Ofonime Essien, for supporting rural school children with educational materials in line with GIFA’s literacy and learning focus.
The commendation was delivered at the “Support-A-School-Child Outreach” held on January 28, 2026, at Government Primary School, Ikot Eyo-Ubium in Nsit Ubium LGA and Government Primary School, Ikot Akpa Ekop in Mkpat-Enin LGA, to mark Miss Essien’s birthday.
Represented by Hon. Otobong Aaron, Lady Obareki described the gesture as a strong support for the state’s free and compulsory education policy and Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda. She encouraged the pupils to stay focused, disciplined, and committed to their studies.
In her remarks, Ofonime Essien expressed gratitude to God for another year and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the growth and development of young people. School authorities and stakeholders also appreciated the thoughtful outreach, describing it as a meaningful investment in the future of the children.
